A Savannah man, Gary Lee Hughes Jr., is facing a drug charge in Andrew County court after a traffic stop on May 8th. Hughes, 64, has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance and has pleaded not guilty with a bond set at $25,000. During the traffic stop, Hughes admitted to having drugs on his person, and a subsequent search at the Andrew County Jail uncovered 7.6 grams of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe with residue. Hughes is scheduled for a counsel status hearing on June 2nd.
